Building an Out of Browser, Network-Aware Webcam app in Silverlight
by
Mike Hodnick
8/17/2010 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
In this session we'll build a Silverlight application that performs the simple task of taking pictures with a webcam. We'll look a little bit at the webcam API and how to consume video and audio capture devices. In addition, this app will send the pictures it takes to a web server. We'll dig in to what happens when the application runs "out of browser", loses its network connectivity and how it can pick up where it left off and resume uploading images (along with the "gotchas" of the network detection API in Silverlight).
